Carl is an accomplished speaker and workshop facilitator specializing in job and career transitions for executives and others in mid-career. His experience includes pursuing his own career transition as an executive, being on the other side of the table as head of an international executive search firm, and participating with employers in their selection interviews.
He is an accomplished speaker and seminar leader for groups from 20 to over 200. He facilitates workshops, leads group discussions, and provides one-on-one career coaching.
His book, 12 Steps to a New Career, describes a comprehensive guide for those at senior levels who want or need to make job or career changes. His unique experience brings together the perspectives of executives in transition, executive recruiters who make recommendations to employers, and employers who make decisions to employ someone.

June 12 – 14, 2016 – 27th Annual Conference of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE), Las Vegas, NV.
For the eighth consecutive year, Carl supported the ACFE’s Career Connection by providing 50-minute career coaching sessions over two and a half days to the attendees of the ACFE conference. The conference attracts over 2,500 individuals who need continuing education to support their CFE certification, want to obtain CFE certification, and want to connect with others in the field from throughout the world. Carl provided career coaching to attendees of this international association of security practitioners over two days. July 13, 2015 – San Diego Professional Coaches Alliance (SDPCA)
Carl was the featured speaker at the July meeting of SDPCA. The group of about 30 professional business and life coaches gained professional Continuing Education Credits for his talk titled: “Whole Brain® Thinking: How Many Does It Take.” The program was a valuable learning experience about thinking styles for individuals and groups and included interactive group discussions.

For the seventh consecutive year, Carl was asked by the ACFE to provide 50-minute one-on-one career coaching sessions to ACFE attendees over two and a half days.
June 3, 2015 – Financial Executives Networking Group (FENG) – South Bay Chapter, Los Angeles, CA
Carl held a one-hour discussion to approximately 60 attendees titled “Communicating Effectively: It’s Not All About You.” The message was focused on helping attendees understand their preferred thinking styles, how to recognize the different styles in others, and how to adapt their language to better connect with others whether they are in career transition or are promoting their services to potential clients.

Carl shared his experiences as the founder and Managing Director of a UK-based international executive search firm for over seven years and as a participant in many employer interviews covering what you need to say and how you need to say it. The group included approximately 30 people who were in various stages of career transition.

Carl facilitated a program on the importance of an effective Verbal Business Card to approximately 60 attendees. He demonstrated the different messages needed for those in transition and for those who were self-employed and needed to connect with potential clients.
